Last week we went to visit my family in Portland Oregon. We drove the whole way, 12 hrs... well more than that for us, but we broke the trip into two days. Manu is still not a good car traveler but as you can see, she was able to sleep a little as long as she had her toys and a blankie to chew on.
We had a great time. On Sunday we had a joint birthday party for Grandma Myrt and Neil. It was great to see everyone and it was especially cool that we had two sets of four generations. Grandma Myrt and Granny and Poppy, Mom and Dad, and me and Manu.

Later that week, we went to the Oregon coast, which was as sunny as ever. Manu had to wear her winter suit, but we warmed up after playing ultimate frisbee. Neil and Cait even went swimming!
After the beach trip, we went camping at Detroit Lake where we spent our days on the boat. Manu doesn't like her life jacket any more than the car seat though, so we spent some time just hanging out so she could be happy.
Si'i also had some "firsts" like tubing and wake boarding.
It was the best trip. We were sad to go home, but we got to take Cait with us for a couple of weeks to hang out. Hopefully we get to do some fun stuff in Utah while she is here.
I love all of these pictures! The close up one of Manu wearing her winter suit is WAY adorable. I cant believe Si'i had never gone tubing or wake boarding before! Crazy! I bet he had fun!
